It took a while to pick a word, but I landed on SOAR. It’s big, it’s scary, and it makes me have to spend the next year being brave and letting go. I think it will be a good fit!

My word is PURPOSE and you can read about it here: http://musingsandmeanderings-mlp.blogspot.com/2013/01/one-word.html
This year it’s PRESENT.
Because I don’t want to miss all the Beauty in the beauty I’ve been missing. And it’s address is always NOW.

I can’t seem to shake my word from last year, so I’m just lingering with it a bit longer. (I might just have to make it my life word & move on…) But I have to say, reading these “one words” and the hearts behind them have become a favorite part of New Year’s – they speak so much hope and courage into the new year, into me. Love the One Word community.
Hi there, Happy to have found you here. My one word this year is Anchor. Blessings, jana
My one word is Faith. The substance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seen. It crept up on me, and at first I resisted because it seemed so “basic” – but basics are good. I keep thinking, “Lord I believe, help my unbelief.”
My word is EFFERVESCENT and I know that sounds weird, but if just felt right: http://www.parentingmiracles.net/2013/01/my-word-for-2013/
This is my first year choosing a word.
My word is “with” and I know it is going to challenge me in ways deep and wide.
http://www.walkingintheslowlane.blogspot.com/2012/12/my-one-word.html
My one word is HOPE ~ I’m a survivor and I advocate and mentor women who have been abused, and those who have been trafficked into the global sex trade. I was honored to be asked to share my message at a TEDx conference this summer. The video can be found on my home page posted above.
This is my first year of participating in OneWord365, as well. My word for 2013 is THRIVE: http://www.fromtwotoone.com/2013/01/my-one-word-2013.html.
My word for the year is Fly

Build

Mine is “placed.”
http://thecontemplativeadventure.wordpress.com/2013/01/02/one-word-placed/
My word for the year is “Action.” I spent a lot of last year finding freedom in dreaming and it’s time to give those dreams some life!!
http://lindsaytweedle.com/a-call-to-action-2013/
Prudence, I love your word.
This is the first time that I have asked God for a word. My word is REST: http://goo.gl/iRj1g
My word for the year is “beauty.” It’s been a brewing prayer for a while now to see beauty more clearly, create beauty in life and relationships and surroundings, and to recognize aloud the beauty I see around me. Because beauty points to God and we all need to recognize him a little better in our lives.
My word for 2013 is Courageous.

My word for 2013 is Courageous.
First ‘whole’, then ‘Present’ now… RISE (and rise again)
My one word is SIMPLIFY!
http://www.adayinmollywood.com/2013/01/my-one-word-for-2013/
My word is learn. There are so many things ahead that I want to focus on learning from each moment that is thrown my way.
http://www.dubioushausfrau.com/2013/01/one-word.html
Possible.
Not an exciting, big action word but a word that is getting me to look at what God can make possible with my year.
http://josieanna.wordpress.com/2013/01/01/one-word-possible/
I’m really enjoying reading everybody’s OneWord- so much to inspire me, what an amazing group you are!
My word is faith.

My Word for 2013 is PRAISE!
http://www.eucharisteoministries.wordpress.com
Thanks for sharing these great posts!
My word for the year is “Grace” and I’m focusing on intentional grace, both in my relationship with God and in my interactions with others.
http://losingmyselfblog.blogspot.com/2013/01/intentional-grace.html
……this word is resonating in my soul, ricocheting through my mind, filling up my heart, and touching my feet, my hands, my mouth. Just every bit of me is feeling this simple little word. Do.

My word for 2013: Seek
http://www.allthingsbeautifulblog.com/2013/01/one-word-for-2013
oops bad link!
ok, now for real: http://www.allthingsbeautifulblog.com/2013/01/one-word-for-2013.html
I did not choose my word….my word was chosen for me and all I could do therefore is YIELD!
http://dancingonthedash.wordpress.com/2013/01/03/resolved-a-yielded-perspective/
Compassion.
I found a link to One Word 365 on the Facebook of “Love and Respect NOW.” No sooner had a read the ‘about’ of One Word 365 on the blog and the Holy Spirit planted (smacked, more like it) “COMPASSION!” into my spirit. I’m very excited to see how my year will be shaped by intentionally focusing on reflecting the compassion of God.
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.” Lam. 3:22
My word for this year is “PROCLAIM”. It could be nothing else…in the first three days of 2013, I ran headlong into Isaiah 61:1-2 and Luke 4:18-19 (“The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor”)a total of FIVE times from non-related sources. If that’s not God trying to get my attention, I don’t know what is! I have no idea what this will look like, but I’m so excited to find out.
My word is move!! http://bit.ly/VEhQEw
This year – Grounded
http://godsbrokendaughter.wordpress.com/2013/01/04/god-remembered/
My one word: REFRESH
http://comewearymoms.blogspot.com/2013/01/one-word-refresh.html
BELIEVE! “I had been deceived as to what my sin really was. I realized it was actually a pattern in my life, that there were different levels of unbelief I had been contending with for years, but I had been calling it by other names. Anxiety, fear, jealousy, anger, despair.”
http://wp.me/p26wYc-lA
My word for this year is create.
I wrote more about it on my blog here http://www.thealmons.com/ccblog/?p=7892 & here http://www.thealmons.com/ccblog/?p=7897
My word last year was BRAVE. This year it is JOY.
http://fionalynne.com/blog/on-my-one-word-for-2013/
My words are beauty and hope. http://leeleewrites.com/my-word-for-2013/
Last year was my first year participating and my word was SECURE (in the sense of being deeply rooted and secure in Christ, more than just ‘self-confident’). And there seems to be a continuing theme
… the word that found me for this year is WORTHY and I’m excited for the year ahead.
My word is Create: http://stopdropandblog.com/2013/01/01/2013-a-word-on-my-word/
TRANSPARENT:

CONTENTMENT {yikes.}

I’ve been on a journey towards a more intentional life for a few years now, but I’m finding myself bogged down in the details and decisions. This year I’m balancing intention with my one word: OPEN.
hippiehousewife.blogspot.com/2013/01/open.html
My one word is ANCHOR, based on Hebrews 6:19 – Hope as the Anchor for our soul. I still haven’t written a post explaining my choice, but it is brewing in my mind right now. http://www.janas3dresses.com Love this #oneword365 community. ~jana
This is my first year to participate in One Word 365 and I didn’t start lightly…. I’m kinda scared. My word is DISCIPLINE. http://www.thegoodthebadandthetruth.com/one-word-for-2013
Tasha, I posted just below you about my word…and then noticed that your’s is the same word. I too am a little apprehensive as i stated in my blog: http://oasisofone.blogspot.ca/2013/01/one-word-2013-discipline.html but I’m already seeing how gracious God is and am anticipating a great year!
Will pray for you as the LORD brings you to mind.
My One Word is DWELL, based on Psalm 91:1 “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” During a time of transition, my desire is to dwell fully…
“Courage”…which pretty much scares the crap outta me…
My One Word for 2014 is “Discipline” and the LORD is already showing me in such gracious ways how He intents to use this word in my life while I’m listening to his voice in the midst of the Daniel Fast right now. <3
*that should say 2013 obviously.
